Job summary

Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics is seeking an Assistant Manager to support a busy North America shop. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, promote brand values and manage daily operations with a focus on growth and profitability.

You will coach staff, educate customers about our skincare, and ensure adherence to standards while driving sales and engaging the community through ethical practices.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years managing or supervising in a retail environment.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills.
• Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty and ethical business.
• Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a high-energy sales floor to exceed daily sales goals.
• Educate customers and staff on brand values and ethical practices.
• Increase product knowledge and provide informed recommendations.
• Drive profitable results through strong business acumen and budgeting awareness.
• Be present on the shop floor to support the team and resolve issues.
• Coach and develop staff, fostering growth and engagement.
• Share feedback and adapt to business needs; uphold brand integrity.
• Recruitment and selection to staff the shop and plan succession.
• Ensure staff engagement, retention and a respectful workplace.
• Maintain opening/closing procedures, stock integrity and safety.
• Coordinate scheduling to optimize coverage and payroll accuracy.
