Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking an Assistant Manager, Conveyance in Madison, AL to support the plant's production planning, material flow, and inventory control. The role emphasizes on-time delivery, procurement, and process improvement to boost efficiency.

The position offers a full-time, rotating shift with overtime eligibility, and a salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 per year. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required and Plex/MRP familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of equivalent work experience or training.
• Proficiency with computers and software applications.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment, preferably within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following all safety policies and procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Manage inventory levels, including establishing inventory goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base activities, and developing related methods and procedures.
• Develop long-range planning initiatives for the production control group by continuously evaluating plant needs, capacity, capital requirements, expenses, and other factors necessary to support growth.
• Establish effective communication with customers, business development, production, and other internal groups to ensure on-time delivery and team support.
• Minimize interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices.
• Assist with planning the operating budget for areas of responsibility.
• Provide training and development opportunities for Conveyance team members to strengthen current and future performance capabilities.
• Maintain and develop network systems that provide access to plant manufacturing systems, streamline information, and generate reports.
• Support receiving and material flow activities to ensure parts are properly received and delivered to production lines.
