The Assistant Manager, Conveyance supports the department manager in developing and managing overall production planning activities for the plant. This position focuses on maximizing customer service, on-time delivery, production utilization, material control, inventory control, and purchasing activities.
The role is responsible for supporting the receiving and material flow operations that supply parts to production lines. The Assistant Manager will help ensure efficient material availability, minimize production interruptions, and develop processes that support the plant's operational and growth objectives.
Strong experience managing receiving, inventory levels, material flow, line-side supply, JIT/Kanban processes, and production material availability. Plex experience is a strong plus.
2–3+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment, preferably automotive, with the ability to train and develop teams, enforce safe work practices, and maintain accountability.
Ability to coordinate production requirements, prevent material shortages and downtime, manage supplier and purchasing activities, monitor inventory, and support production schedules.
