Flying Biscuit Cafe is seeking an Assistant Manager in North Carolina to lead and support a thriving restaurant team. You will drive guest experiences, oversee daily operations, and collaborate on promotions and events to boost sales.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of management experience in a fast-paced full-service setting, strong communication, and a proactive, humorous leadership style. This role offers growth opportunities and requires availability nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform, as needed, all hourly roles within the restaurant to guarantee exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure quality of all prepared meals to spec and proper kitchen execution across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.
• Assist in creating, utilizing, and implementing preferred FOH service systems.
• Coordinate with staff to verify all checklists and restaurant needs are met.
• Monitor menu pricing and accuracy on systems and materials.
• Assist in achieving sales and labor goals, beverage cost, and cash handling.
• Collaborate with General Manager on promotions, events, and social media requests.
• Respond to guest reviews and communicate with teammates.
• Assist with interviews, training, maintaining staffing levels, and FOH schedules.
• Handle daily invoicing, weekly beverage orders, monthly inventory, and payroll assistance.
• Co-lead bi-annual reviews of all FOH team members.
• Manage partnerships with beverage vendors.
• Maintain facility and grounds; communicate needed repairs and cleanliness.
• Facilitate relationships across FOH and BOH teams.
• Participate in ongoing restaurant training and scheduled events.

Job description

The Assistant Manager is a lively, hospitality-driven individual with an ambition towards overall general management. The Assistant Manager is knowledgeable in food & beverage trends; supports the General Manager in maintaining thriving teams; and engages guests with a focus on strengthening sales.

Benefits:
