Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail management experience.
• Luxury retail experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Cegid, and E-time.
• Ability to learn POS and payroll systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Flexible to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop sales staff to meet sales objectives.
• Maintain management presence on the sales floor and uphold brand standards.
• Identify sales opportunities by reviewing business by métier and orders.
• Conduct touch-base meetings and participate in evaluations.
• Enforce CRM standards and maximize client data quality.
• Manage scheduling, timekeeping, vacations, and attendance with HR.
• Organize seasonal trainings and integrate key métier points into POS talks.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining candidate database.
• Make critical client and operational decisions in leadership’s absence.

Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the Managing Director and Floor Director in running the Palo Alto boutique, focusing on building sales, client development, and staff performance in a fast-paced luxury environment. This role partners with sales and selling support teams to ensure exceptional client service and operational excellence. The Assistant Manager steps in for senior leadership as needed and contributes to inventory, scheduling, and business decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, train, and develop sales staff to achieve sales objectives and model exceptional service
• Maintain an active management presence on the sales floor and ensure team adherence to brand standards
• Identify sales opportunities by reviewing business by métier and tracking deliveries and special orders
• Conduct touch-base meetings and participate in performance evaluations with leadership
• Communicate and enforce CRM standards and follow up to maximize client capture and data quality
• Manage scheduling, E-time, vacation, and attendance records in coordination with HR
• Organize seasonal trainings and integrate key métier points into point-of-sale client conversations
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and maintaining a candidate database
• Make critical client and operational decisions and run the store in absence of senior leadership

Requirements

• 4+ years of retail management experience; luxury retail experience preferred
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Cegid, and E-time; ability to learn POS and payroll systems
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into business recommendations
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to coach staff
• Ability to lift 0-25 lbs and flexible availability to meet business needs
