Job summary

Brobston Group's boutique in New York hires an Assistant Manager for Men's Universe to work with Floor Directors in providing an exceptional client experience and driving sales growth.

You will lead and develop sales staff, manage inventory and store operations, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of retail management experience; luxury experience preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and Word; familiar with Cegid and E-time.
• Ability to interpret sales data and make business recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience learning merchandise, payroll systems, and troubleshooting.

Summary

The Assistant Manager, Men's Universe supports the Floor Director and Senior Floor Director in running the boutique's business and delivering an exceptional client experience. The role leads and develops sales staff, drives sales and client development, and helps ensure strong operational and inventory performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, train, and support sales staff in achieving sales objectives and delivering exceptional service.
• Review business performance, identify sales opportunities, and support client development through CRM and service initiatives.
• Communicate and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and CRM standards.
• Support staff scheduling, attendance tracking, performance reviews, recruiting, and seasonal training.
• Maintain stock levels and inventory accuracy, and help achieve sales and profitability goals.
• Make decisions relating to staff, clients, and store operations, and step in for store leadership when needed.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of retail management experience; luxury experience preferred.
• Proficiency in basic office applications, including Excel and Word, and familiarity with Cegid and E-time.
• Ability to interpret sales data and make effective business recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn merchandise, POS, and payroll systems and troubleshoot effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and work in person with schedule flexibility as business needs dictate.
