Job Description

The assistant manager supports the General Manager in various tasks, including:

  1. Building weekly schedules
  2. Placing truck orders
  3. Recording and analyzing weekly inventory
  4. Employee coaching and discipline
  5. Quarterly employee reviews
  6. Hiring new staff members

Hours per week: 35-45

Reports to: General Manager

Position Summary

This role is responsible for the profitable operation of a Firehouse Subs restaurant, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies, and leading the team to deliver excellent service, quality, and cleanliness.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Enforce all Firehouse Subs policies and procedures.
  • Maintain profitability through managing food costs, labor, utilities, and sales growth.
  • Lead the team to meet standards of guest service and operational excellence.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and disciplining staff.
  • Ensure all reports and legal documents are completed accurately and on time.
  • Promote safety initiatives and represent the brand professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with the GM/Owner about business issues.
  • Physical requirements include working on your feet up to 13 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour.
