The Dairy Queen in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to uphold quality service and food standards while supporting daily restaurant operations.

You will lead shift teams, ensure safety and compliance, assist with training and scheduling, and help customers enjoy a great dining experience as you learn management responsibilities.

Strong communication, reliability, and a track record in customer service are valued as you develop leadership skills under senior management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in restaurant management or supervisor role.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Background and motor vehicle checks required.
• Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification where required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication in English.

Job description

Position Overview

The Restaurant Assistant Manager provides quality customer service and food products using standards set by Fourteen Foods and International Dairy Queen to enhance the customer’s visit, while assisting with and learning restaurant management responsibilities.

Assistant Manager Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience as a restaurant Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar food service management role.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
• Possession of Food Handler’s Permit and/or ServSafe Certification (where required).
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
