Job summary

City Barbeque, Llc in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead shift operations and support the General Manager. You will recruit, train and develop leaders, manage schedules, and ensure a superior guest experience while maintaining profitability.

You will drive teamwork, handle personnel decisions, and help communicate company priorities to the team, with opportunities to assist local marketing efforts and grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a restaurant or service team.
• Experience training and developing staff.
• Ability to create and manage staff schedules.
• Strong guest service focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to deliver a great guest experience.
• Support the General Manager with multiple management duties.
• Recruit and train new leaders and promote career growth.
• Make personnel decisions including orientation, transfers, and terminations.
• Write schedules that balance guest needs with cost control.
• Ensure employees are paid properly and receive benefits.
• Convey company priorities and changes to the team.
• Assist with local store marketing opportunities.

Assistant Managers create a culture in the restaurant that is exciting, optimistic and rewarding, while building sales and managing profitability. In addition to leading shift operations, he/she is charged with supporting the General Manager by owning multiple management responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Recruiting and training the next generation of leaders, guiding them to be promoted and empowering them to have a successful career.
• Personnel decisions regarding the restaurant team, including orientations, transfers and terminations.
• Writing schedules that meet the needs of the business so that a great guest experience is delivered while maintaining financial responsibility
• Ensuring that employees are paid properly and receive appropriate benefits
• Successfully communicating company changes/focus to the team.
