Responsibilities

These managers’ responsibilities may include managing assigned systems such as training, food safety, and inventory management, setting goals, delegating tasks to their teams, following up, and reporting results to their team and other managers. The Assistant Manager may oversee the Guest Service Department, ensuring crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, sales promotions are executed well, all service staff are trained in service procedures, and the front counter McCafé and drive‑thru areas are organized for the best service. The Assistant Manager may oversee the Kitchen Department, ensuring the restaurant delivers high‑quality food to customers quickly and safely, monitoring food costs, and ensuring all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new menu items. The Assistant Manager may oversee the People Department, ensuring the restaurant hires qualified crew, trains them well, schedules them to meet restaurant sales and profit goals, and recognizes and motivates crew throughout their time working there.
