The assistant will assist the General Manager with financial monitoring, inventory control, and menu development while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and smooth service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Two years of restaurant operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to increase customer satisfaction and drive sales.
• Monitor labor cost and cost of goods.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
• Manage inventory and assist with ordering to ensure freshness.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and restaurant appearance.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues.
• Ensure workstations are set up correctly and inventory levels are maintained.
• Ensure recipes are followed and food is prepared as planned.
• Expedite food orders as needed.
• Assist with menu planning and development.
• Act as the General Manager in their absence.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties as needed.

The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall management of the restaurant. This position involves assisting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Assistant General Manager contributes to financial goals, staff development, and the overall success of the restaurant.

This is done by:

• Collaborating with the General Manager to develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction and drive sales.
• Monitoring financial metrics such as labor cost and cost of goods.
• Aiding in the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff.
• Managing inventory to ensure freshness and food rotations are appropriately being followed as well as assisting in ordering.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance in the restaurant.
• Monitoring and enforcing health and safety regulations.
• Handling customer complaints and resolving issues.
• Ensuring workstations are set up correctly and inventory levels are maintained.
• Ensuring recipes are followed.
