Job summary

Sightglass Coffee Roasters Llc is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and lead the cafe during assigned shifts. You will delegate tasks, maintain smooth workflow, train staff, and uphold service standards. You may act as person in charge in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shift flow by delegating tasks (cleaning, stocking, prepping) and ensuring staff focus on customer support and sales.
• Communicate staff feedback, difficulties, and successes to Store Manager.
• Educate staff and customers on current product offerings (beans, drinks, food, and merchandise).
• Adhere to policies including cash handling, product standards, facility maintenance and hospitality best practices.
• Assist in hiring processes and interviews; maintain staffing within budget.
• Manage cash drawers, deposits, and reconciliations per procedures.
• Conduct monthly inventory and support inventory accuracy.

Overview:The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager by ensuring an efficient and productive workflow throughout their assigned shift. In the absence of a Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will assume cafe responsibility and serve as the person in charge.ASMs are expected to be aware of the needs of the business, manage the counter flow, and delegate tasks to the operating team. ASMs are responsible for sharing feedback with management regarding shift outcomes and business needs. Position accountability includes: coaching, staff training, staff performance and development, service standards, cash handling, scheduling, customer incidents, property maintenance, inventory management and orders, and other assigned administrative tasks.
