Job summary

Sightglass Coffee Roasters Llc in Berkeley, CA is seeking passionate baristas to deliver an exceptional coffee experience across espresso, pour over, and tea offerings. You will engage customers, educate them on beans, drinks, food, and merchandise, and uphold service standards.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong customer service, able to multitask on a fast-paced shift, and willing to obtain or hold a ServSafe Food Handler certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated enthusiastic desire to work with coffee.
• Ability to function and be efficient within a team.
• Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler card or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an unmatched coffee experience and serve our full range of beverages including espresso, pour over, flash chill, and loose-leaf tea.
• Stay knowledgeable and educate customers on current offerings including beans, drinks, food, and merchandise.
• Follow manager directives and support team members to anticipate needs, ensure smooth café operations, and uphold our product and service standards.
• Adhere to company policies including but not limited to cash handling, product standards, and hospitality best practices.
• Strives for the highest standards in drinks, customer interaction, attitude and leadership.
