Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for our multifamily community in Dallas. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing repairs, the make-ready process, and preventative maintenance to ensure a positive resident experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, HVAC/plumbing/electrical skills, EPA CAMT/CPO preferred, and a valid driver’s license for on-site work and occasional on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and some college or trade school preferred.
• 1 year of general maintenance experience, at least 6 months of apartment maintenance.
• EPA certification Type I, II or Universal required; CAMT preferred.
• Must perform tile work, carpentry and full apartment make-ready.
• Must troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required; on-call rotation.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays and varied schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in supervising and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Monitor and prioritize service requests; manage emergencies and workload.
• Perform preventative maintenance on appliances and equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs as needed.
• Oversee make-ready process and communicate progress to Community Manager.
• Inspect and address recurring repairs; determine root causes with team.
• Repair and replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems.
• Maintain community appearance and safety; replace bulbs, remove litter.
• Record service requests and maintenance in OneSite accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, vendors.
• Assist with training maintenance staff and inventory management.
• Support grounds, pool, housekeeping, notices, inspections as needed.
