Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for our multifamily communities in Charlotte, NC.

You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with supervision of maintenance staff, scheduling, make-readies, and preventative tasks to sustain high resident satisfaction. The role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance repairs, plus strong customer service and documentation in OneSite.

Qualifications

High school diploma; some college or trade school preferred.
1 year general maintenance experience, at least 6 months in apartment maintenance.
EPA Type I/II/Universal certification required.
Tile work, carpentry and make-ready process proficiency.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and major appliances.
CAMT certification preferred; city/state permits may be required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist Maintenance Supervisor in supervising and scheduling maintenance activities.
Monitor service requests, prioritize tasks and expedite urgent issues.
Perform preventative maintenance on community appliances and equipment.
Prepare vacant apartments for move-in; complete repairs or replacements.
Assist with make-ready management and vendor communications.
Ensure safety and cleanliness; document records in OneSite.
Support grounds, pool, housekeeping and on-call duties as needed.
train and develop maintenance staff as assigned.
