Job summary

The Everett in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Service Manager. You will oversee daily upkeep of the community, operate and maintain mechanical equipment, and supervise maintenance staff in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities include scheduling, safety training, responding to on-call emergencies, inspecting facilities, managing records, coordinating contractors, and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Current driver’s license; CFC Certificate; CPO Certificate (Where Needed).

Responsibilities

• Assist in training staff and supervise work performed by all personnel under direction.
• Establish schedules and assign routine maintenance tasks.
• Be on emergency on-call status to respond to work orders and weather-related issues.
• Maintain safety standards and train staff to uphold them.
• Inspect buildings, grounds and common areas for preventative maintenance and hazards.
• Maintain organized shop and storage in compliance with OSHA regulations; manage manuals and records.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours and coordinate with contractors as needed.
