Job summary

AION is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager for Pointe at Northern Woods in Columbus, OH. The role supports the Maintenance Manager with daily operations, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance while supervising staff and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Base pay is $28–$30 per hour, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The position requires HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, life-safety expertise, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in multifamily or property management.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life‑safety systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Preferred
• CAMT (Preferred)
• Ability to clearly document work and use maintenance management software
• Understanding of Microsoft Office
• Experience using mobile maintenance or inspection applications
• Strong communication, and coaching skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for residential units, common areas, and building systems.
• Coordinate service requests, unit turns, and emergency repairs.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Ensure scheduling, documentation and timely close-out of service requests, unit turns and inspections.
• Assist with preventative maintenance planning and PM program execution.
• Help ensure life-safety compliance and proper use of PPE.
• Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians and service staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage inventory of supplies.
• Communicate with residents about scheduling and service completion.
