Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to lead a maintenance team across our Houston properties. This role blends hands-on upkeep with strong leadership to ensure timely service requests and high resident satisfaction.

You will supervise technicians, manage make-readies, and participate in preventative maintenance programs, safety initiatives, and vendor coordination to uphold property standards and resident happiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in apartment maintenance or related trade.
• Basic reading and communication in English.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and assist with service requests.
• Prepare make-ready apartments and maintain inventory.
• Perform common area maintenance and preventative maintenance.

Position may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, maintenance equipment, construction areas, chemicals, noise, dust, and other environmental conditions associated with property maintenance activities.Physical Requirements:Requires frequent walking throughout the property, including climbing stairs, inspecting units, and assisting with maintenance operations. Position involves standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting or moving materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
