Job summary

Velo Residential in Dallas, TX seeks an Assistant Maintenance to support daily property upkeep and renovations under the Lead Maintenance Technician. This full-time role focuses on repairs, preventive maintenance, and a clean, safe living environment for residents.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in multifamily maintenance, experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances, and a valid EPA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in multifamily maintenance.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, hardware, and general apartment repairs.
• Strong team player with the ability to work closely with the Lead Maintenance Technician and support the maintenance team.
• Independent and proactive, with the ability to complete routine repairs and identify problems without constant supervision.

• Assist Lead Maintenance with all Maintenance requirements of property.
• Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings.
• Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion.
• Assist Lead Maintenance with the make-ready process.
• Maintain a clean community and a safe workspace.
• Maintain Swimming Pool as needed.
• Complies with Velo Residential's safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the community’s routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
• Demonstrates customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services, and completing assigned work orders with efficiency and urgency.
