Job summary

The Valcap Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team at a residential/commercial property in Arlington, TX. You will assist with repairs, complete work orders, and support the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager to keep the property in great condition.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventative maintenance, quick response to emergencies, and coordination with vendors while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of building systems and tools.
• Prior maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders or outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be dependable and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
• Complete work orders and unit turnovers
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Help maintain clean and safe common areas
• Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies
• Work with vendors and follow safety procedures
