Job summary

A-1 Hospitality Group is seeking an Assistant/Supervisor Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations and laundry services in a hotel setting. The role focuses on maintaining room quality, monitoring cleanliness, and reporting guest room status to the front desk.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least four years in housekeeping experience, and two years in a supervisory capacity. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Assign daily boards to housekeeping team members.
• Maintain room quality based on hotel objectives.
• Monitor and maintain a level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas.
• Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office.
• Oversee all housekeeping duties.
• Maintain productivity and labor cost goals.
• Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing linen inventories and cleaning supplies.
• Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and that guest relations are enhanced.
• Ensure satisfactory scores with brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and team with necessary improvements.
• Other duties as assigned

The Assistant/supervisor Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and common areas of the hotel to have ready for guests according to the policies and procedures of Marriott Standard.
