Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in institutional, building custodial work.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, weekends and holidays) and locations within the school district.
• Ability to communicate, read, write, and follow written, and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to supervise, coordinate, and inspect the work of a moderate-sized staff of custodial employees.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety precautions and proper usage of custodial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and supervising the work of custodial staff.
• Coordinate and assist in set up furniture for school and facility rentals.
• Train custodial staff in proper work methods and equipment usage; monitor performance.
• Assign equipment, materials, and supplies; maintain inventory of cleaning materials.
• Keep records and prepare reports of work accomplished and materials used.
• Lead safety meetings with staff and communicate policies.
