Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of institutional custodial work
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, weekends) and locations within the district
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write, follow instructions)
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a moderate-sized custodial staff
• Knowledge of safety precautions and custodial equipment use

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and supervising the work of custodial staff
• Coordinate setup for school and facility rentals
• Train custodial staff on procedures and equipment
• Order and inventory cleaning materials and supplies
• Maintain records and prepare reports of work completed
• Lead safety meetings and enforce safety procedures
• Supervise custodial operations and monitor performance
• Provide support for pool maintenance and aquatic areas where applicable
