Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen team in delivering a memorable dining experience. You will collaborate with the Sous Chef and General Manager to maintain high standards, safety, and consistent quality across menus and daily specials.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of kitchen experience with supervisory responsibilities and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 2+ years of kitchen experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Computer/Technical skills are a plus.
• Carrying/Lifting to 50 pounds.
• Punctuality with the ability to observe regular and consistent attendance.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, and developing kitchen staff to ensure a high-performing team.
• Supervise and motivate team members to meet service standards and kitchen goals.
• Monitor employee timekeeping daily to ensure staff are clocking in/out correctly.
• Provide coaching and corrective action as needed to ensure compliance with labor expectations.
• Review daily event sheets to create accurate prep lists and ensure timely execution of menus.
• Contribute to recipe development, plating specifications, and daily specials.
• Conduct regular line checks to verify product quality, station readiness, and food safety.
• Oversee the setup, cleanliness, and organization of all kitchen areas.
