Huey’s in Memphis is hiring an Experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and production, ensuring quality and budget adherence. The role supports hiring, training, scheduling, and inventory control while maintaining health standards and safety compliance.

The position involves managing the kitchen window during busy periods, coordinating staff, auditing procedures, and refining labor costs to meet demand. Experience in restaurant management is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Serve Safe or equivalent food safety cert preferred for BOH manager.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for managing a diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the window position during peak times and ensures recipes and guidelines are followed.
• Monitors ticket times and adjusts production as needed.
• Coordinates recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations for kitchen staff.
• Audits food preparation, weight tests, and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and on-time deliveries.
