Assistant Kitchen Manager
$25.00 - $31.00 / hour

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Execute advanced food preparation tasks according to 49th State Brewing Company recipes and specifications.
- Monitor food quality and consistency through regular testing and tasting.
- Prepare, stock, and replenish the food assembly line for efficient service.
- Accurately and efficiently assemble orders during all meal services.
- Train, mentor, and supervise line cooks, supporting a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, following all sanitation and health codes.
- Identify and properly dispose of any spoiled or substandard food items.
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture, including food safety and team member well-being.
- Support cleaning and sanitation procedures in all kitchen areas.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of commercial kitchen experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management (both verbal and written).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with restaurant POS systems and computer applications is preferred.
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. and stand for full shifts (up to 8 hours).
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire (failure to comply may result in reduction of hours until provided).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
