Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for two Assistant Instructional Designer positions in the Center for Distributed Learning. These non-tenure-track, 12-month appointments support online and blended education, focusing on pedagogy, faculty development, and course quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area at the time of application.
• Minimum of two years of experience in online instructional/curriculum design or faculty development, preferably in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Instructor Relationships and Pedagogical Consultation: establish supportive relationships with instructors to guide instructional and pedagogical strategies.
• Course Design, Development, and Quality Assurance: apply instructional design models to create and enhance learning experiences and ensure instructional quality.
• Faculty Development: plan and deliver robust faculty development opportunities for online and blended teaching.
• Contribution to Unit Operations and Initiatives: participate in strategic planning, policy development, and cross-team initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement and Evaluation: use feedback and data to improve courses, strategies, and outcomes.
• Project Management and Execution: manage workflows, track progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
