Job summary

The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning invites applications for an Instructional Design Specialist at the Main Campus (Gainesville, FL). Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to align content, activities, and assessments with learning objectives and standards.
• Review content using adult learning theories to enhance presentation for the target audience.
• Ideate developmentally appropriate engagement activities and ensure templates and scope of work are followed.
• Collaborate with Video Production and Graphic Design teams to create and refine educational assets.
• Assure content is grammatically correct and adheres to APA guidelines where appropriate.
• Review materials and edit for improvements as needed.
• Maintain daily communication with the Learning Experience Design Manager.
• Assist with updates to visual identity and platform migrations as necessary.
• Consult with SMEs on assessments and learner engagement, supporting LMS features for adult learners.
• Adhere to processes, schedules, and deadlines.
• Collaborate across project teams to document and address content improvements.
• Attend meetings and focus groups as requested.
• Participate in planning and delivery of promotional presentations and conference sessions.
• Collaborate with other teams and within the Lastinger Center.
• Track progress to align work time with billable projects.
