Job summary

The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks an Assistant Engineering Supervisor to supervise staff in operating, maintaining, and repairing museum HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems. This role partners with the Engineering Supervisor and Facilities Director to ensure cost-efficient operation.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in HVAC or equivalent, 1–2 years' experience, and a CFC Refrigeration certificate.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in HVAC or equivalent; 1–2 years' experience or training; CFC Refrigeration certificate required.
• Experience in HVAC, building maintenance, and automated systems preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff performing maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Coordinate efforts with the Engineering Supervisor and Director of Facilities for efficient operation.
• Monitor and manage Building Automation System and respond to alarms or issues.
• Analyze production schedules and estimate worker hours for jobs; manage CMMS.
• Help develop annual Facilities Department budget and manage purchasing.
• Oversee staff scheduling, payroll data, and working conditions adjustments as needed.
• Enforce safety rules and company policies; handle disciplinary actions as required.
