Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning of HV, BESS, and PV projects nationwide. You will work with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure installations meet project requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

This role is hybrid with on-site presence at job sites and some remote work. You will lead commissioning teams, coordinate with engineering, construction and QA, develop schedules and procedures, and deliver

Qualifications

• 3+ years testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project commissioning teams.
• Report daily status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop project commissioning plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Develop integrated testing schedules and update weekly.
• Manage pre-commissioning and high/low voltage testing.
• Maintain safety tagging, LOTO and work permit programs.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and closeout documentation.
• Travel as project needs dictate.
