The Assistant Human Resources Business Partner (Assistant HRBP) provides consultative and administrative support to the HRBP, leadership, managers and employees. The role assists in gathering and preparing information and data needed for HR actions and works closely with HR Operational Services (HR OP Services) to help resolve questions and facilitate timely responses to HR-related issues. The Assistant HRBP collaborates with HR Leadership and Operational Services to support the implementation of HR programs, tools, and leading practices across DHHS. The Assistant HRBP also contributes to department-wide initiatives by coordinating with DHR leadership and participating in projects that advance strategic HR goals.

The Division of Human Resources (DHR) provides strategic and operational leadership for DHHS human capital management, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, job evaluation, salary administration, benefits, workers' compensation, safety, and staff development.
DHHS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.
