Job summary

Sun Hill Properties seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the leadership and daily operations of the housekeeping department in a high-volume hotel. You will direct guest room and public-area cleanliness, coach staff, adjust priorities based on occupancy, and resolve guest concerns to ensure brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or management education preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel environment; full-service, upscale, or branded hotel experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing employees, staffing, scheduling, performance, and day-to-day departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the housekeeping leadership team in planning, directing, and managing daily operations across guest rooms and public areas.
• Set and adjust departmental priorities based on occupancy, forecasted business levels, group activity, VIP arrivals, and events.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting clear expectations for performance and guest service.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, attendance, and labor productivity in alignment with financial objectives.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and performance management in partnership with leadership and HR.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements; partner with other departments for seamless operations.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements to quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
