Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of previous Housekeeping Management experience required.
  • Experience in hotel or resort environment is a must.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of operational execution of the Housekeeping Department and team management abilities. Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and that guests are happy and having a great stay.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager to keep all costs in the Housekeeping Department at or below our budgeted guidelines (wages, operational supplies, etc.)
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation in areas relating to the Housekeeping Department and administer the supervision of all the Housekeeping staff in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Assist in general inventories for cleaning and guest supplies, recording all stock and maintaining control of all issuing.
  • Assist and ensure daily room inspections are completed and follow-up is completed with room attendants and supervisors.
  • Monitor time and attendance ensuring all employees adhere to break policy.
  • Inspect and ensure cleanliness of public and heart of the house areas.
  • Create and assign special projects where needed ensuring physical product is up to 5-star standards.
  • Maintain operating equipment care and maintenance program.
  • Assure that the Housekeeping Department operates according to the policies and procedures set forth by PHM.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous Housekeeping Management experience (3-5 years minimum)
  • Experience in hotel and/or resort environment a must
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively assess and address workplace issues which may include anticipating, identifying, and preventing problems.
