Job description

Entry-level management position supporting daily activities in Housekeeping, Recreation / Health Club, and Laundry, if applicable. Responsible for working with employees to clean and maintain guestrooms and public spaces, completing inspections, and ensuring accountability for corrective actions. Aims to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while managing the operating budget.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; no work experience required.

Core Work Activities

Assisting in Managing Housekeeping Operations and Budgets

  • Assist with lost and found procedures.
  • Prepare work assignments based on room status and check-outs.
  • Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk promptly.
  • Coordinate with Engineering on maintenance needs.
  • Follow loss prevention policies.
  • Ensure staff have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Supervise guestroom and public space inspections.
  • Manage linen inventory and guest supplies; assist with ordering supplies.
  • Support supervision of Housekeeping in the absence of the Director or Manager.
  • Monitor employee service behaviors and provide feedback for improvement.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

  • Handle guest issues and complaints, seeking supervisor assistance when needed.
  • Review guest feedback and satisfaction results with staff.
  • Model positive guest relations behaviors.

The hourly pay range is $25.00 to $28.37. Benefits are subject to eligibility and other conditions.
