Job summary

The Holiday Inn Express-Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer 1 to join our team managed by StepStone Hospitality. You will maintain hotel assets through preventative maintenance and ensure mechanical systems operate to standard, delivering quality service for guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, air conditioner and boiler maintenance, pool area upkeep, and timely response to guest requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Hearing, writing, typing.
• Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Maintain, air conditioners, cooling towers and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing, cleaning, etc.
• Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
• Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

Description

The Holiday Inn Express-Ballantyne is currently seeking individuals for the positions of General Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel.

As our Maintenance Engineer 1, you will maintain the hotel's assets through ongoing preventative maintenance programs and ensures that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the hotel's and StepStone Hospitality's standards. You will promote quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Scheduled hours will vary weekly between Monday-Sunday. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays are required.
