Listening Ear seeks an Assistant Home Manager in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to support the Home Manager and DSPs in delivering person-centered care. Responsibilities include meal prep, personal care, medications, transportation, and documentation, with potential to act as Home Manager when needed.

The role emphasizes professionalism, training, scheduling, and mentoring DSP staff, ensuring compliance with laws and agency standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years' experience with individuals who are developmentally disabled.
Preferred: 60 college credits or an accredited community college certification in a relevant degree.

Responsabilités

Engage with consumers and DSPs to identify and implement activities under the consumer's Person Centered Plan.
Perform or ensure all prescribed activities including meals, hygiene, medications, recreation, and transport in compliance with laws and Listening Ear standards.
Accurate and timely completion and delivery of documentation related to consumer services or home operations.
Attend and complete mandatory trainings and skill development programs.
Report punctually and remain with consumer until relieved by another DSP or supervisor.
Model professionalism and coach DSPs on standards of performance and cultural sensitivity.
Learn and perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and COA accreditation expectations.
