Listening Ear in Clare, MI is seeking an Assistant Home Manager to join our team. This full-time role bridges Home Manager and DSP tasks, including meal prep, personal care, medication administration, transportation, and scheduling support.

You will mentor DSP staff, assist with administrative duties, and may serve as Home Manager when needed. A development path toward promotion exists, emphasizing professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years experience with individuals who are developmentally disabled.
• Preferred: 60 college credits or certification from an accredited community college.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Engage with consumers and DSPs to implement activities per the consumer’s Person Centered Plan.
• Provide meals, personal care, hygiene, medications, recreation, and transportation to appointments.
• Complete documentation for consumer services and home operations.
• Attend mandatory training and skill development programs.
• Punctuality and staying with consumer until relieved by a supervisor.
• Coach DSPs on professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
• Assist with scheduling, record keeping, and COA accreditation preparation.
