Job summary

Listening Ear Crisis Center in Mount Pleasant, MI seeks an Enhanced Services Direct Support Professional to supervise and support complex care consumers in daily living activities per their Person Centered Plan.

The role involves meal prep, personal care, medication administration, enteral feeding management, behavior support, and transporting clients to appointments, with mandatory training and adherence to Michigan health regulations.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or related health care certification and experience.
• Working knowledge of laws and regulations for mentally disabled adults (Recipient Rights, Consumer Bill of Rights).
• CPR, First Aid, Safety & Fire Prevention, Nutrition, and infection prevention.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to emergencies in a controlled manner.

Responsibilities

• Engage with consumers to identify and implement activities under the consumer’s Person Centered Plan.
• Carry out Plan-prescribed activities including meals, hygiene, meds, feeding tubes, behavior management, transport.
• Complete and deliver necessary documentation relating to services or home operations.
• Attend mandatory trainings and report punctually to work.
• Other duties as assigned.
