Good Shepherd Services is seeking an Assistant Group Leader to support staff in delivering after-school educational and enrichment activities. This role involves supervising participants, assisting with sports, arts, and instructional activities, and helping maintain a safe, engaging environment.
The position reports to the Program Director (PS306) and offers up to 20 hours per week as a non-exempt role, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

The Assistant Group Leader supports and assists staff in carrying out all planned educational and enrichment activities for the after-school enrichment and recreational program.
Reports To: Program Director, PS306
Hours: Up to 20 hours/Week; Non-Exempt
Salary: $17.00 / hour
Major Duties:
Assist the group leader with engaging activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and crafts, and special events.
Collect attendance folder and other data as necessary.
Supervise participants throughout the afterschool program.
Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up.
Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program and upholding the afterschool model.
Support activity instructor(s) with lessons.
Collaborate with group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Follow all GSS, DYCD and SACC regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and the ability to work with other youth.
Must be available during the program hours listed above.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment.
Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
