Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in New York is seeking an Assistant Group Leader to support staff in delivering after-school educational and enrichment activities. You will help plan and supervise engaging events, manage attendance, and assist with snacks and cleanup to ensure a safe, productive environment for youth.

Responsibilities include supporting instructors, enforcing program rules, and collaborating with the group leader to maintain positive youth development outcomes throughout the after-school

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable and consistent work habits with youth.
• Available during 2 pm–6 pm program hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Commitment to youth development.

• Collect attendance folder and other data as necessary.
• Supervise participants throughout afterschool program.
• Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program and upholding the afterschool model.
• Support activity instructor(s) with lessons.
• Collaborate with group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Follows all GSS, DYCD and SACC regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

School Year / September - June / Monday - Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm

Salary:

$17.00 / hour
