Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have 1–3 years retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to take and give direction.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff, with knowledge of personnel reports and financial goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move items as described in job duties (up to 60 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries and ensure timely stocking.
