Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 1–3 years retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods preferred.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to take and give direction in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude and positive customer interaction.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff; knowledge of performance and financial metrics.
• Attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and planning; ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and outstanding customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team; manage deliveries and sanitation compliance.
