Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Manager in leading one of the store's busiest teams. You will drive product quality, customer service, and merchandising excellence while coordinating planning and goals with cross-functional teams.

You will assist in hiring and training, manage deliveries, and ensure health and safety standards are followed to maintain a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude interacting with customers.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff; understand margins and goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong planning and organization; ability to multitask.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs milk trays and up to 50 lbs boxes as specified.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and service for customers.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries.
• Ensure execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
