Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Manager in delivering high-quality products and service. You’ll help manage staffing, ordering, inventory, and store merchandising to drive productivity and profit.

You’ll lead a busy Grocery Team, mentor staff, uphold health and safety standards, and coordinate daily tasks to meet goals, while maintaining a friendly, fast-paced environment for customers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality product and service to customers.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed.
