Job summary

The Club at ArrowCreek in Reno, NV, part of Troon, seeks an experienced Assistant Golf Professional to manage day-to-day Golf Shop operations for both courses. You’ll supervise staff, support tournaments, and drive player development while maintaining exceptional member service.

This working manager role offers significant exposure to a private-club operation, a strong tournament calendar, and access to modern teaching and club-fitting tech.

Qualifications

• PGA of America Member or active PGA Associate in good standing progressing through the PGA Program.
• Previous golf-operations experience; private-club experience preferred.
• Three+ years of progressive golf-industry experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of the game, Rules, handicapping, etiquette, pace of play.
• Experience supervising employees and leading shifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, sound judgment.
• Comfortable with golf-management tech and systems.
• Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and tournaments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily Golf Shop operations and tee sheets for two courses.
• Ensure opening/closing, cash control, and procedures are followed.
• Monitor tee sheets and adjust staff coverage as needed.
• Provide professional service in person, phone, and email.
• Communicate club policies on guests, carts, pace, dress, and use of facilities.
• Coordinate with Guest Services, Agronomy, F&B, Accounting, and Membership.
• Direct Golf Shop staff and coach associates on priorities and standards.
• Support tournaments, leagues, junior programs, and member events.
• Assist with Golf Genius, registrations, pairings, scorecards, and prizes.
