We are hiring an Assistant Golf Professional. Primary responsibilities include:

1. Completing accurate monthly inventory counts and understanding cost of goods sold.
2. Assisting the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities.
3. Developing merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, special events, and slow sales periods.
4. Providing golf lessons to members and guests and overseeing the instruction program.
5. Developing and conducting junior golf clinics.
6. Ordering supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
7. Playing golf with members to promote enthusiasm for the game.
8. Understanding how to use the point of sales system.
9. Assisting with all tournament operations.
10. Maintaining all logs (competition, rain check, monthly range, etc.).

Required Skills:

1. Willingness to learn.
2. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
3. Understanding of club financials.
4. Thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operations.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The physical demands include walking, standing, sitting, bending, using hands, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and visual acuity. The role may require lifting up to 50 lbs, overhead lifting, and pushing/pulling lighter objects.

The work environment may involve exposure to weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise levels.
