Job summary

Orchard Valley Golf Course is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations, provide exceptional guest service, and assist in merchandise and POS duties. This full-time role includes overseeing the Golf Shop and Outside Service Attendants to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

compensation ranges from $24-$28 per hour with additional income from lessons (80/20 split) and merchandising commissions. PGA member or associate preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf shop operations or similar retail environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with members, guests, and staff.
• Knowledge of golf tournament operations and event logistics.

• Operate golf cart fleet safely and efficiently according to course policies.
• Schedule tee times and manage schedule changes.
• Assist in organizing golf events, tournaments, and leagues, including scoring and logistics.

Job description

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist in the daily golf operations, including providing exceptional customer service to guests, managing merchandise, and operating POS system to complete transactions. They will also oversee the Golf Shop and Outside Service Attendants to ensure a smooth and effective process is offered to our guests.

This is a full-time regular position. Compensation ranging from $24-$28 per hour with additional income from lessons (80/20 split) and merchandising commissions.

CORE RESPOSNSIBILITIES

• - Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pro shop, practice areas, and golf carts.
• - Operate golf cart fleet efficiently and safely, ensuring adherence to course policies and procedures.
• - Schedule tee time reservations and manage changes to schedule.
• - Support the management of golf events, tournaments, and leagues, including organization, set, scoring, and coordination of logistics.
• - Provide support to the General Manager and other staff members as needed to ensure smooth operations of the facility.

• - Understanding of Microsoft Office products.

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

• - PGA Member or Associate in good standing preferred, but not required
