Legends Golf Course on Lake LBJ in Texas is seeking a friendly, dependable Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf-shop operations. You will handle cash and POS transactions, assist golfers with tee-times, and help create an excellent guest experience for members and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or cash-handling experience preferred.
• Golf course or golf shop experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of golf terminology and etiquette preferred.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and complete POS transactions.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Professional, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and tee-sheet/reservation software.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the golf shop cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Process cash, credit card, merchandise, green fee, cart rental, and other golf-related transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, including register reconciliation.
• Greet golfers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Check in golfers and assist with tee-time reservations and changes.
• Answer questions regarding rates, policies, merchandise, tournaments, and facility amenities.
• Assist customers with merchandise purchases and maintain an organized retail area.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to general golf shop inquiries.
• Coordinate with starters, cart staff, outside services, and other operations to maintain efficient daily flow.
• Assist Head Golf Professional and management with tournaments, outings, leagues, and events.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Follow company policies on cash handling, discounts, refunds, and employee transactions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Assistant Golf Professional to support the daily operations of our golf facility. This position is primarily responsible for cash register and point-of-sale (POS) transactions, assisting golfers in the golf shop, coordinating tee-time and player services, and providing an excellent experience for members and guests.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions, and knowledgeable about golf or eager to learn more about the golf industry.

Key Responsibilities
