Job summary

The Valley Club of Montecito is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our esteemed golf team. You will support the Head Golf Professional and staff, delivering a premier experience for members and guests while handling daily operations and bustling events.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, team-focused, and proficient with Golf Genius and Clubessential POS, with strong organizational skills and a passion for golf merchandise and events.

Qualifications

• PGA Associate or PGA Member preferred.
• Experience in golf professional or assistant role at a club of similar stature.
• Experience with Golf Genius tournament software strongly preferred.
• Experience with Clubessential POS or similar golf/club POS system preferred.
• Retail or golf shop merchandise experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily golf operations and member services.
• Provide a welcoming, professional, and personalized experience for members and guests.
• Plan, organize, and execute club tournaments, events, and outings.
• Manage tournament setup including event creation, registration, scoring, and results.
• Assist with golf shop operations, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized golf shop and assist with merchandise sales.
• Support tee sheet management and member bookings.
