Job summary

Charter Oak Country Club, LLC is seeking an Entry-Level Assistant Golf Professional/Outside Operations Supervisor to support the Head Golf Professional and fellow staff. This role combines outside operations leadership with hands-on service delivery, overseeing bag drop, carts, range, and event logistics while ensuring a premium private-club experience for members and guests.

The ideal candidate will bring basic golf operations knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in golf operations or private club/front desk/ hospitality preferred.
• Tournament and golf event operations experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead, train, motivate, and coach staff.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional member and guest service.
• Ability to anticipate member needs and build relationships.
• Able to work flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.
• Knowledge of golf and private club operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and develop outside operations staff (starters, bag attendants, cart staff).
• Ensure staff deliver Charter Oak’s standards for exceptional service and provide coaching and evaluations.
• Maintain staffing levels based on daily activity, tournaments, outings, and events.
• Oversee outside operations (bag drop, cart staging, driving range, bag storage) and flow with the Golf Shop.
• Coordinate with Golf Shop to ensure efficient play and proper tee sheet execution.
• Monitor pace of play and assist staff in delivering a quality player experience.
• Maintain presence to anticipate member/guest needs and address issues.
• Coordinate tournament, outings, and events with Head Golf Professional and departments.
• Support maintenance, fitness, and readiness of the cart fleet and equipment.
• Communicate clearly with staff on event requirements and assignments.
• Contribute to a culture of hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
